Had the privilege of attending the final of the Confed cup between USA and Brazil here in South Africa. What an experience. I have been to a few sporting events in some brilliant stadiums around the world, but nothing compares to the festival atmosphere of this game. I was blown away!
Image were easy to come by and I was photographing happily away. The passion of some of the supporters is something to behold. I chose this image for a few reasons.
It links to SA supporters with their wonderful hard-hat creations. It shows passion and creativity as well as world sense in that it is all about 2010 and the committee who decided that the tournament would be held here. This man and his wife were dancing the whole evening, encouraging both teams to do well.
A true supporter. His hat says it all.
